Since its introduction in 1990, the United States Employment Based (Category) 5 Program, popularly known as the US EB-5 Program, offers an exclusive category of immigration Visa for foreign High Net worth investors. The program was initiated with the aim of strengthening the US Economy by creating new jobs and investment of foreign investors.
The EB 5 Visa, based on a qualifying US investment, approves an applicant for a Green Card before immigration to the country. It does not require the individual to manage the day-to-day affairs of a business. The applicant is required to invest US $1 Million in general or US $ 500,000 in a Regional Centre Project approved by the US CIS based on proposals for promoting economic growth.

Additionally, the foreign entity must have a qualifying relationship with the U.S. business.
E-1: Treaty Trader: The E-1 visa is an option for foreign nationals of treaty countries who conduct substantial trade with the U.S. In this context, trade is defined broadly and encompasses a wide range of goods and services. Foreign nationals typically apply at a U.S. Consulate / Embassy in their home country, unless they are physically present in the U.S. when the application is submitted.
